Through the Ringer and Back

I haven't been sick like this in a long time. Sure, back in late December I felt like I'd been hit by a Mac truck with the flu du jour, but this has been much, much, much worse. That's right, I've been hit with a stomach bug (virus, food poisoning, hard to tell which). It has been absolutely nasty and atrocious.

Friday night I ate dinner and my stomach felt a little queazy, but I didn't think too much of it. By 3am Saturday morning I was feeling the express. By 7am, I'd added hurling to the list of fun activities. All day long, I could barely stand (except when I needed to run to the bathroom). Just an awful feeling.

I thought I was feeling better early Saturday evening, but 12 hours after my last hurl, I had 1 more around 10pm. After which, I did actually feel better. I can't say I slept particularly restfully overnight, but I wasn't racing the bathroom every 5 minutes, so that's something.

Ate some saltines around 3am this morning (was starving, which is a good sign seeing as previously I felt no hunger at all). At some toast around 7am. Still having some digestive issues on the tail end, but at least don't feel like hurling again (we'll see how I feel around 10am). Hopefully the worst is over. Though I don't feel "all better" by any means, I certainly feel much better than I did yesterday, which is very much saying something.
